On the Canadian side, you will find a massive walkway along the Niagara River which presents an exceptional point of view for the Falls. “Journey Behind the Falls” allows you an up close and personal encounter behind Horseshoe Falls. The Hornblower Cruise, aka Voyage to the Falls, may be the most popular attraction on the Canadian side of Niagara Falls and takes you right up to the Falls. The Hornblower Funicular (cable cars) also provides a unique view of the Falls and at the bottom you can enjoy snack and beverages at the Riverside Patio while you admire the Falls.
The Rainbow Bridge
The Rainbow Bridge promises not only outstanding views of all three Falls but also the opportunity to stand in two countries at once. The beautiful archway bridge was constructed in the 1940s and serves as an international border between Canada and the United States. With customs checkpoints, flags, and a line to mark the border, you’ll need a passport or visa to cross. With car traffic and a pedestrian only walkway, your can take photos on the bridge and not enter the United States. If you do choose to cross the border, you will have to go through customs both ways and pay a minimal toll.
The Niagara SkyWheel
In the Clifton Hill are of Niagara Falls, you will find the 53-metre tall Niagara SkyWheel. The expansive ferris wheel opened in 2006 and offers yet another unique perspective from which to appreciate the Falls.
The Skylon Tower
Since 1965, the Skylon Tower has adorned the downtown skyline. From atop the tower, you will be greeted with panoramic views of the Falls and the entire Niagara area. Plus, the Revolving Dining Room Restaurant and the Summit Suite Buffet is sure to please the hungry adventure seekers in your group.
