Winter Festival of Lights
The Ontario Power Generation Winter Festival of Lights will be held November 14, 2020 through January 10, 2021. The annual event brings residents and visitors Canada’s biggest and brightest illumination festival, transforming Niagara Falls into a winter wonderland of shimmering lights and sparkling displays for the entire family to enjoy with more than two million lights along eight kilometers from Dufferin Islands to Clifton Hill. Among the illuminated displays, you will see famed Canadian wildlife, the world’s largest Canadian-American Flag, 3-D Angels, Noah’s Ark, the Skylon Tower, and Zimmerman Fountain, plus the famous laser light shows in Clifton Hill. The Winter Festival of Lights runs nightly from 5:00 p.m. to midnight and donations are accepted with proceeds used to enhance light shows and displays.
Glow Gardens – Glow Niagara 2020
Glow Niagara 2020 offers an outdoor drive-through experience featuring more than one million lights. Safari Niagara is transformed into a three-kilometer shimmering Christmas experience that is touchless and safe for your entire family. On the journey you’ll help find Santa’s missing presents throughout the Glow Garden, as you pass loveable teddy bears, an enormous tree, huge reindeer, giant ornaments and packages, with the accompaniment of your favorite holiday tunes compliments of GLOW FM. When you find a present, snap your pic and post it #GlowNiagara for a chance to win your own special present from Santa. The Glow Garden Drive-Through Light Festival runs November 18, 2020 through January 2, 2021.
Niagara Falls Christmas Market
The annual Niagara Falls Christmas Market will be held November 14 through December 20, 2020 in Downtown Niagara Falls. Offering a completely unique holiday adventure, the Christmas Market runs from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays and features lots of local vendors offering food, artwork, handmade crafts, and more amid a beautiful holiday display of lights and decorations.
Winterfest in the Square
Winterfest in the Square, at the Old Stone Inn Boutique Hotel in Niagara Falls runs daily from November 13, 2020 to March 28, 2021. This year’s event features pop-up full course dinners featuring wine pairings or signature cocktails in the heated Snow Globe and North Star Cabins.
Pelham Santa Claus Parade
Looking for a classic holiday tradition, then come on out to see the Pelham Santa Claus Parade on December 12 from 1:00 to 3:30 pm. Sponsored annually by the Fabulous Fenwick Lions and considered one of Ontario’s best parades, this year’s event is a reverse parade in Centennial Park. The parade floats will remain stationary while spectators drive-through in the safety of their own vehicle.
Christmas Fireworks with Santa at Fort Erie
This year, Fort Erie Christmas Fireworks with Santa will be held at the Fort Erie Racetrack on December 12. The event is free, but tickets are required for this year’s modified event featuring a safe, drive-in experience for the family. The Santa Claus Parade will begin at 4:30 with Santa coming on the scene at 5:00 p.m. followed by the celebration of fireworks at 5:30 p.m.
